Organized in collaboration with Indept, Jan Vávra a Senrosimotor Psychotherapy Institute.
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP) is a therapeutic modality focused on treating trauma and attachment issues. SP views the body as an integral source of information that can guide both the development of internal resources (resourcing) and the access to and processing of challenging, traumatic, and developmental experiences. SP is a holistic approach that integrates somatic, emotional, and cognitive processing.
SP enables clients to identify and transform habitual physical and psychological patterns that impede optimal functioning and well-being. SP is effective in working with dysregulated autonomic activation and other effects of trauma, as well as limiting belief systems stemming from developmental wounds.

Children often don't see the point in "just talking" about their problems. This two-hour interactive workshop will demonstrate how to effectively address the effects of trauma in children and families using play, props, and a body-oriented approach.
About the Lecturer Bonnie Goldstein is the founder of Lifespan Psychological Services in Los Angeles. Working closely with Dr. Pat Ogden, she develops and adapts Sensorimotor Psychotherapy modalities specifically for children, adolescents, and family systems.
